You know, it's nice to have a fully adjustable assisted suspension that can lay frame (or rockers, or door panels, etc...) but what happens when u want to drop into a deep corner at, say, 80 mph? my fullsize chevy may not be the lowest, and it may not be the fastest at the strip, but don't let me catch you in a corner! my truck sits with a modest 5"-7" drop, but with several tricks that make her run deep into corners and never lift a tire. It really scares the corvette and bmw/mercedes guys when i pass them on the inside accelerating through 120mph or so on the I35 north cut to 183 west here in Dallas... those of you who know the place can appreciate what Im saying. That's not to say she's a slouch off a light, she'll run low 14's in the quarter without having the motor broken-into yet (all bolt ons, and creative computer trickery) but the handling is what Im proudest of. Of course she looks pretty, Emerald metallic paint with silver flames, full interior with tweed, leather, snakeskin, and more flames, plenty of billet, I have earned several prestigious trophies, looking for more... It seems that most judges at truck-based shows don't get into sheer handling of 3200 lbs. of weight, or raw performance on the street, so many times I get beat by someone who can scrape but often has little else to show off. Am I the only one here who is curious about this? don't get me wrong, I like watching guys hop their trucks on all-air suspensions, and I can truly appreciate the ingenuity and time/money that it takes to develop these systems, but shouldn't there be more? It seems that most shows you go to, they don't seperate static and adjustable suspensions, and unless it has a blower or nitrous, they don't care about your engine's performance. If I'm way off base here, lemme know, or if you agree totally and would like to see some changes like me, also lemme know. Any and all feedback is welcome!!! I should have some pics up soon to show what I mean, and if u have some related pics, send them too! laterz!!! skyadam@hotmail.com
