I am 26 years and live in Covington, La. I had to relocate due to the storm hitting Chalmette. My house recieved 18 feet of water and had 3 in. of mud. Luckly my Blazer was on the trailer with the bags filled and the cover on it in a warehouse. The water did get into it though and all the air let out and it dropped down to the ground. A 50 gallon drum of school bus yellow paint had tipped over and spilled every where and put a ring around the cover but never touched the truck. There was 7 feet of water in this warehouse but it came in and went out very quickly. The carpet on the floor was ruined, T.V's were burned up, retractable licene plate was also ruined and I had mold growing in it. Now I have since redone all ruined interior parts and replaced most of the electrical. The rims were a rainbow color and I polished them out to an almost chrome finish. People joke with me and say its the truck that never dies. But when you love this scene as much as I do and it gets in your blood you can never give up.
